DEBUT ALBUM

Dsilton

The music of Dsilton is all about alternative tuning systems, complex rhythmical structures, new musical instruments as well as deconstructing music of different parts of the world and eras.

The starting point is 31 tone equal temperament, a fifth-tone based division of the octave with the smallest pitch on the level of enharmonic step.

The album is an interlacing of work cycles by David Dornig and Georg Vogel, all using a special metric modulation concept based on integer ratios.

These arrangements are performed on newly developed and newly built musical instruments, such as Georg Vogel's 31-note Clavitones and David Dornig's 31-tone guitars.
